Mt. Rainier pt 2

So, we headed back to Mt. Rainier to do some hiking.. it was another beautiful day and so we packed a lunch and headed out.  It was so pretty, however... I didn't make it all the way up the trail. Lonnie thinks I (we) did about 6miles total, however, it was a 14mile total hike... so I need to practice some.. so we have other smaller hikes planned. Here are some snaps from the day ! 

Mt. Rainier

So.... We went up to Mt. Rainier at last !!! I was so excited about driving  up there and seeing it up close !! And it was the perfect day for it, sunny and clear blue sky !!! Kayleigh, Alex, Lonnie and I drove  up and stopped at many places along the way to get out and walk around.  We went all the way to Paradise Point.

There we got out and walked to the visitor center, got something little to eat and then played in the snow !!!  We were not planning on getting in the snow, and had on our tennis shoes.. but it worked out and it was fun. (and a good workout !!)   We are planning on going back up next weekend to do a 14 mile hike.. it should be a long fun day.. here are some pictures of our first day !!

Happy Valentine's Day

This year was a little different... 

We woke up and had coffee like always, but then I had seen this pancake idea on t.v. and thought that it would be really cute, so when Lonnie said he was hungry, I made them. I also made them for Alex, because Kayleigh was at work. 

After breakfast, we got ready and went to get Alex's jackets that he got for Christmas fitted. .while we were there, I got two sweaters :)  Alex got his jackets, two pair of jeans, two colones and two dress bags. After, we went to lunch with was sushi ! 

Kayleigh got home from work and we all started getting ready to go out.. since we had a late lunch, we were not really hungry.. so we just went to The Harmon in Tacoma and had a few apps. and drinks..

Then we headed to Keys on Main.. a dueling piano bar !! It was a lot of fun and we are planning on going back with friends.. I had a wonderful day !!!! 

Super Bowl 49

This year we got off to a slow start, but we came together and made it to the Super Bowl... AGAIN !!! 

We got invited to Kim and Burt's Super Bowl party and it was a lot of fun.. not to mention that we walked to their house.. so that was nice... I made my Sweet and Sour Meatballs and we tried Little Smokies wrapped in Bacon for the first time.. those were a HUGE hit.. I think I got maybe 4 of them..ha ha ... 

The game didn't end the way us Seahawks fan wanted it to.. but it was a good game.. and I am sure we will be back next year !!!   Go Hawks !!
