Saying Goodbye... Again :(

This week was Cesario and Veronica Rendon's last week here on Okinawa.. After 6 years.. they are heading back to the States. It's always hard to say goodbye (or if your in the Military.."see you later") Got to spend a few days with Veronica this last week. We went to lunch and did a little shopping.. and then we went and got our toes done !! It was nice to just hang out with her.. most of the time we are with a group of people.. Royal Wedding ~ April 29, 2011

Today we had a royal wedding Kate Middleton and Prince William got married. Kayleigh and I watched it from home. It was really nice. I watched Princess Diana and Prince Charles get married in 1981, so I thought it would be nice to see her son marry. Easter 2011

Today is Easter.. We went to brunch at the O'Club as a family.. it was nice just the four of us.. could be one of the last times we all sit down on a holiday for a while.. HAPPY EASTER TO ALL !!

HK 4/17/11

So, today was our last day in Hong Kong.. Im sad because I had such a great time here, but happy to get home to Lonnie and the kids. I had a wonderful time with my friend Lisa (who I had not seen in 4+ years) and got to make a new friend in Annie :) I hope one day to come back and bring Lonnie with me.. Hong Kong is something I will never forget !! So, this is what we did.. Had our breakfast at our McDonalds (pancakes and sausage) Came back to Annies to get our suit case that weighs more now because of all the things we bought.. haha.. got in the taxi (always a thrill) got to the TST (subway/train) and took it to the airport. Lisa left an hour before me, so we found out where both our gates were and then went and had a muffin and talk about how much fun we had. Then it was off to take Lisa to her gate and then it was my turn.. It was very nice to see Lonnie and Kayleigh waiting for me with big smiles and hugs... I really missed them :) (Nick was off doing something, but got a kiss when he came home) And if that is not enough.. got to go eat sushi that night :) Life is AMAZING !!! :)

HK 4/16/11

This is our last full day in Hong Kong :( Today we went to our usual place for breakfast.. McDonalds...We took a ride on the Duk Ling "Junk Boat". We then went to Ocean Park. Ocean Park was ok.. it was so hot and so spread out that it crazy. But, I got to see Pandas !! :) We only stayed for a few hours because it was so hot. For Dinner we went to TGIF (Fridays) then to the pier one last time for Starbucks and then back to Mong Kok to the Ladies Market for last minute shopping for the kids.

HK/Macau 4/15/11

We got up the next day in our wonderful room and went to breakfast at the Blue Frog Cafe.. it was really good. After we went to the Hard Rock Hotel for drinks and then went to the Macau Tower.. or as Lisa would say "survived the Macau Tower" haha.. we went up and got to walk around to viewing areas. I was really happy that Lisa went with me.. she is so scared of heights and she went up with me. We went back to the hotel and went back to the Blue Frog Cafe for lunch.. then it was back to the ferry and back to Kowloon. Annie, Lisa and I went back to Temple Street night market for dinner (calamari, sweet & sour pork, noodles and beer) it was a fun and busy day again.

HK/Macau 4/14/11 Happy Birthday Lisa !!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA !!!! Today is Lisa's birthday :) We took the ferry to Macau (and got more stamps in my passport !) and stayed at the Venetian !! We had to wait to get our room so we went to lunch at Can Ton.. it was a nice lunch. We got our room/suite.. it was so beautiful !!! Then we took a cab to go and see the Ruins of Sao Paulo. After taking pictures we found DQ .. the funny thing is that I was just talking to Lisa about going to DQ with Erik in TX.. and there is was, calling my name!! We got back to the hotel and went to look at some of the shops. We rode the Gondolas in canal shop area with Giacomo and they sang Happy Birthday to Lisa :) We got ready for dinner and went to Morton's Steak House and then off to the show!!! We went and saw Zaia (Cirque du solei) it was a great show and I am so glad we went! After the show we went down and did a little gambling and then went to a lounge and had birthday drinks and listened to a band... I hope it was a good birthday for Lisa.. Welcome to the 40 club !!

HK 4/13/11

This morning we went to brunch with Annie to Dim Sum... this time to another restaurant, at this one I ATE CHICKEN FEET !! That's right.. chicken feet ! Can check that off my list of things to eat..haha.. After brunch Lisa and I walked to the TST and took it to the bus station where we got on and went to Stanley Market. It was nice and on the water line. We saw a ice cream truck and got some ice cream. After the market we got another double decker bus and took it to the pier and took a boat back to Kowloon and went and ate at Outback Steak House. We went back to Annies house and decided to go and get a foot/leg massage. After we walked to get our tickets to Macau :)

HK 4/12/11

This morning we went to BKing and then walked over to Mong Kok Park and watched everyone do Tai Chi.. it was so nice and relaxing to see and watch. After, we walked through the park and went off to find the Fish Market aka Goldfish Market. We found it and had lunch at a local restaurant. Then we got on the TST and went to DISNEYLAND !!!!!! I was so happy to be there !!!!! I had so much fun and rode the rides like I was 10 years old. Ha ha ... We left Disney and came back to Annies house and then went and had dinner..

HK 4/11/11

Today we went to our breakfast spot... McDonalds... then took the TST to the and then the Tram to Victoria Peak.. This is a amazing 360 view of Hong Kong. We had lunch at Bubba Gumps. After lunch we got back on the TST and took it to the Hong Kong Polin Monastery and saw the Tian Tan Buddha Statue. I know I keep using the word amazing.. BUT IT WAS AMAZING !!!! We took a cable car to go and see it and then we walked up the 267 stairs up to see it. Beautiful can not explain it !! The monastery was nice also and we got to see some Monks there. It was a very busy and fun day !

HK 4/10/11

This morning Lisa and I walked to McDonald's for breakfast.. it was really good ! $20HK = $3.00 USD so it was a cheap breakfast ! After we walked to the pier and went on the Victoria Harbor Cruise on the Star Ferry, it took us around the harbor for about an hour, after the cruise we took our first of many double decker buses back to Annie's house. When we got there she was asked if we wanted to go to lunch.. Yes Please !!! She took us to this very nice restaurant called Wedding Banquet Specialist and had Dim Sum! It was so good and it was my first time to eat Dim Sum. After, we were heading out and ran into a actor/martial arts instructor named Ng Gong. We decided to walk back to the harbor and walk it, Annie came with us and we got some Starbucks and walked on the Avenue of Stars (like our Hollywood Walk of Fame) at 8pm every night there is a laser light show called Symphony of Lights.. it was really nice. We walked back to Annies house and decided we had not done enough (hahaha) so we went to Temple Street Market, were we ate dinner at the Market, I have decided that I love Street Food !! We had noodles, crab, a veggie and BEER !!!! Today was a very fun day !!

HK 4-9-11

Lisa and I flew into Hong Kong on 4/9 and made it to Annies house around 8ish pm. We were really tired but wanted to go out and see all we could! Annie took us to Mong Kok Ladies Market.. it was crazy.. Soooo many people and so much stuff.. We ate food from the vendors on the street and it was really good.. This night we had a Chicken Fried Steak sort of thing.. it was huge and so good !!!
