Moving
Well, we get to move!! When Lonnie got to Okinawa, the kids and I were still in Cali, so he called me and said "they gave us two houses.. Kadena or Lester" of course I said Kadena!! What he didn't tell me was that we had to climb up two sets of stairs just to get to our house.. then another one to get to our bedrooms. That is a lot of stairs for me. So, when we got our notice that we had to move out, we went to housing to ask for a single level home. WE GOT ONE!! It only has 4 stairs in it. I can handle that!! This house has 4 bedrooms and carpet in them (one we are making into a den) !! Also, the living room and dinning room has wood floors! And its own laundry room! What more can a girl ask for??!!?? I will post pictures soon.

4th of July
This year we were in Okinawa Japan again for the 4th of July. We went to AmericaFest again this year with good friends Juan, Raquel and Emilio Cisneros. Saw a lot of jets and planes both American and Japanese. We went to the Gary Sinise concert again but sat in the stands this time. Nick and Kayleigh both ended up at the flight line which was really nice! After the they shot off fireworks. It was a great day that we got to spend with friends and family !
Lt. Dan Band 7.3.09
This week we got to meet Gary Sinise and then got the opportunity to go and see his band ~The Lt. Dan Band~ here on Okinawa at Kadena's AmericaFest on the Kadena Flight Line.. It was a great 1 1/2 free concert that the band puts on for the military troops all over the world. This was the first time that the band had been to Okinawa but they said it was not the last!

Gary Sinise 7.2.09
Today we got the wonderful opportunity to meet Lt. Dan aka Mac Taylor aka Gary Sinise!! He is on Okinawa for 4 days doing meet and greets along with a few free concerts for everyone. Today we went to the Coral Cove on Torii, stood in line for a hour and got to meet him. He does a lot of things to support our troops overseas. Being overseas we are sometimes fortunate to get celebrities and bands that will come out, it was very nice!
