Lake Fair

Last night we went to Olympia to go to Lake Fair.. We had not been to Lake Fair since 2004  It was alot of fun. We rode rides, ate great fair food and met friends that we have not seen in a long time. Kayleigh and Alex went earlier in the afternoon, but Lonnie and I went after he had drill so we got there about 630pm.  Lake Fair is a fair that is held at the Capital in Olympia Washington for a weekend in July. Glad we went and glad to see Josh again .. had not seen him since he was in 8th grade :)  This was also Alex's 2nd fair he has gone too.. can't wait for the one in Sept !!

Lonnie's 25th High School Reunion

This weekend we went to LongBeach/Ilwaco Washington. This was the first reunion Lonnie has gone too. We had a great time and it was so great to meet his friends. Friday night we met at Chico's Pizza, and then we were off to the Lamplighter bar for some drinks and Karoke. (Yes, Lonnie sang..haha) Lonnie and I stayed at the Shelburne Bed and Breakfast.. We have been wanting to stay there for 22 years.. this was the first time.. LOVE IT !!!  Sat. night, we got up, at breakfast at the B&B and then met Gary and Diane Wirkkala at the Sat. Market in Ilwaco. We has some really good chowder and then went off to play tourist in LongBeach. We had to hit the Bakery for my Cream Horn that I ALWAYS get when I am at the Beach.  Sat. night we had dinner at the Lightship. It was good and got to met some more people that were not there Friday night. After dinner most of us went to the Roo for drinks and then out to Greg Lindstrom's house for a small get together.  Sunday morning we went to Astoria Or. for Brunch with Martha. It was great to spend time with her even though is was short.

Point Defiance Zoo

Today was a hot day for us so we went to one of our zoo's here. Point Defiance Zoo is a smaller zoo here but nice to go see. Lonnie, Nick and I went and spent a few hours there. Nick and I rode a Camel and got to see the Otters, a Tiger and a few Monkeys. It was a fun way to spend the day.  

4th of July 2012

This years for the 4th of July we got invited to our friends Gary and Arlene Petersen's house on Lake Tapps. Gary and Arlene are Ron Petersen's parents that Lonnie has known forever. They have a amazing home right on the water with a view to die for !!! Swimming, jet skiing, v-ball and great food made the day one to remember. Nick came with us this year and it was great to hang out with him. The Petersen's know how to throw a party !! We had an amazing fireworks show that everyone got to enjoy on the lake. HAPPY 4th OF JULY !!!!
