Kayleigh is 19 years old 12.27.09
Today my baby girl turned 19 years old... I'm very proud of the young woman she is growing up to be. This year we all went out to dinner at Sam's Anchor Inn (Okinawa Japan) we had a good food and great friends with us. After dinner Kayleigh went out with her friends and we old people went for coffee... I love you Kayleigh !!
Northern Highlights Tour 12.26.09
When I found out that Lonnie was coming home, we went and planned this Tour. We all met at Foster and took a bus out to Nago to start the tour. Our first stop was to the Ryukyu Glass Factory in Nago. We (the girls) got to blow our own glass (with help). Then we were off to Fruit Land were we had lunch, saw some birds, fruit, butterfly's, and goats. Next we went the Pineapple Park, we have been there many times before so I didn't take any pictures of that. Last (and this was for the guys) we went to Orion Beer Brewery. Even though we went on the weekend and the brewery was not in action, it was still fun! And we all got to have two free beers.
Side note....
After the tour, we all went back to the Cisneros' house were they had poker ready to go... and Lonnie brought the trophy home again.... good job babe !
Christmas Day 2009
We had a great Christmas this year !! Lonnie was home from being deployed in Afghanistan and we got to spend Christmas as a family !! After we all got up and opened gifts, it was time to start on our Christmas dinner. Every year we have lasagna. This year we had a bunch of people over... it was a lot of fun to have everyone at our house. And it is also the last year we get to spend with some of our friends.
Christmas Eve 2009
Like last year, we spent this year at our wonderful friends house Juan and Raquel. Emilio got to come home from college and spend it with them. We had a great time, Santa came and handed out gifts and then we played some games .One game we played was you had four on a team, you had to put on oven mitts and run down and undo a piece of candy (chocolate kiss) and run back and put it in the next persons mouth... Lonnie, Kayleigh, Christine and Alex's team won !!! It was a great night. We had tamales that we all made a few days before, I made a ham, and lots of other food.
Lonnie home for Christmas 12.21.09
LONNIE IS HOME !!!! He got to take his two week R&R leave from Afghanistan to be home for the Christmas holiday!! In over 20years, he has only missed one Christmas and we made up for that when he got home. I am so happy to have him here!! I don't think that Christmas would have been the same for us here. He is here through New Years and will fly back to finish his deployment in Jan. I love you Lonnie....

SHES Christmas Party 12.4.09
ACGO Christmas Party 12.3.09
This years ACGO party was at Jack's Place on Kadena. It was nice, I had never eaten in the restaurant part and besides being a little cold (You know I'm always cold) it was good. We had great entertainment, the Pops Singers sang Christmas songs for us for about 45 min. I had Kayleigh go with me this year as my date.
