Parent Apperciation Dinner -Kayleigh 2009

Tonight Lonnie and I went with Kayleigh to a Parent Appreciation Dinner. It was a dinner for all the parents of graduating students from Kadena High School Class of 2009. After dinner, 10 students got up and read letters to their parents thanking them. Kayleigh wrote us a letter also. It was a very special night. Here are just a few pictures we took.

Kayleigh Sr. Prom 2009

On June 16,2009 Kayleigh had her Sr. Prom from Kadena High School in Okinawa Japan. Lonnie and I could not be there, but had someone take these great shots of her, her date and some wonderful friends. The pictures were taken on the Sea Wall out in town. She had a wonderful time, something she will always remember. Here are a few pictures I got.

Hali

While we were in Cali, I got to meet Hali MaGrath, Lonnie's foster sister. I knew of Hali for years, but got to meet her at last. She is wonderful person and a amazing photographer. We met her in Berkeley for dinner and got to catch up on about 20 years. In the picture Hali, Lonnie and Dave.

Lonnie and I also got to go into San Francisco for a few days. We went to chocolate Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, Pier 39 and Joe's Crab Shack.

Bernet Family

This month we went to Cali because Lonnie's Father, George Bernet passed away. Lonnie got to see his family that he has not seen in almost 25 years, and I got to meet many for the first time. Here is some pictures.

Mothers Day 2009

This year we went to the Kadena O'Club for Mothers Day Brunch with a group of wonderful friends. It was a great day !!!! I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful family and great friends to share this day with.

Dragon Boat Girls Night Out 2009

Some of the girls from the team went out as a last hoorah for the year. We had a great time! We started out at the Crow's Nest and closed down the bar/club at Western World.

Dragon Boat Race 2009

This year Lonnie and I rowed for the Army Dragon Boat Teams again. Lonnie was the men's coach and did a amazing job with the team! The men, who started out with only 15on the team in the beginning, ended up with a full team and winning their heat to bring home the trophy! The women did a great job with two wonderful coaches Tonja and Michelle. It was a great time and hope to do it again next year! Here are some pictures.
