Nick Turns 16 !!!!

Happy Birthday to Nick!!!! Today Nick turns 16 years old... wow.. my baby is growing up!! We took Nick out for ice cream at Chili's, they sang Happy Birthday to him and made a big scene, it was great!! Then he went to hang out with his friends.

Kayleigh Turns 18 !!!

Well, Today is the day that Kayleigh is 18. Not to sure how I'm supposed to feel.. Happy? Sad? Excited? Depressed? But We (I) am working through it. We took her and some of her friends out to dinner, K wanted to go to sushi, so we did. Here a few pictures we took.

Southeast Botanical Gardens 2008

Last night we went to the Southeast Botanical Gardens to have dinner, look at the beautiful lights and see the laser light show. They had set up the whole Botanical Gardens at a Christmas Paradise. It was a lot of fun, but it was cold out!!!

This year we stayed at home in Okinawa, our wonderful friends invited us to their house for a Christmas Eve Party, it was a lot of fun to be around friends when we could not be around family.

10th SG Holiday Party 2008

This is Lonnie's works holiday party at Torii chapel. Can you guess who Santa is? Yep, that's right... Lonnie. It was his second time to be Santa for 10Th. "Santa" made four kids cry, the rest of the kids could not wait to get on Santa's knee. Kayleigh and I got to have our picture taken also.. fun day.

Holiday Party 2008

Here we are getting ready to go to COL Woodard's house for the annual holiday party at his house. We met at one of the chapel's and got bussed to his house. There we spent our hour of time eating and having drinks with the COL and his wife. It was a lot of fun. It was a nice day until we got back to the chapel then the sky opened up and God tried to cleanse the dirt off of Okinawa...Yeah, there was a lot of rain. St. Barbara's Day Ball

Last night Lonnie and I went to the 1st Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery (Regiment) Saint Barbara's Day Celebration. We got invited by our friends Juan and Raquel Cisneros. It was a chance for Lonnie and I to dress up, and we had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures.

Army/Navy Game

Like last year, we went to the Army/Navy Game here on Okinawa. It was a lot of fun, but very cold!! This year we went with our friends Jon,Elyssa and Riley Daur. It was a great game and like last year.. ARMY WON!!!! Here are a few pictures we took..

Liz Birthday

Today was my 41st birthday.. After work today, I got together with my wonderful friends and family for dinner at one of my favorite places Ghengis Khan.. We had about 15 friends with us. It was a great night.

Lonnie in Blue

Today Lonnie had to get all dressed up and go to Torii for a Thankgiving luncheon. I had to work this year and could be with him.. but I did ask for someone to take a picture of him.

"Rocktoberfest" 2008

Here we are at Torii Beach for the Rocktoberfest. It is a rock concert that went all day... we came after the Tug of War. We got to see a few bands play. Eightball, FOD and Three Girls. Kayleigh and her friends joined us later.. it was alot of fun.. but Lonnie and I must be getting old.. because it was very LOUD!!!

Naha Tug of War 2008

We went to Naha today..it was the annual Tug of War between Naha and Nago. From what I have read, back in time, the villagers from Naha and Nago came together to have a tug of war, and whoever won would have a bountiful year (I think it is Naha-Fish and Nago-Rice) when we were done with the pulling of this huge rope, we got to cut a piece of it off and keep for luck.

Octoberfest 2008

Hello... We went to Octoberfest at the Butler Officers Club on Oct. 10th 2008. It was alot of fun. They had a German band there and Great food. (my favorite was the saurkraut) We went with our friends Juan,Raquel and Emilio, and met other friends there. This may be a recurring event for us!!

Kadena High School Homecoming 2008

This week both Kayleigh and Nick went to Homecoming for Kadena High School... They had a great time. They both went with friends. The dance was held at Camp Hanson about a hour from Kadena AFB where we live. Everyone met at the school and were bussed to Camp Hanson. Both seemed to have a good time. Here is Nick before he left for school and Kayleigh with her friends Shannon and Brandon before they left also.
